What to expect from Google’s Pixel 9 event

Google's August 13 event will introduce the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro, with the Pro available in both 6.8-inch and 6.3-inch variants. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will also be revealed, showcasing a taller and slimmer design compared to its predecessor. Both the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro will feature upgraded cameras and the G4 Tensor chip, with AI-powered functionalities like the new Pixel Screenshots feature.
The event will also showcase the Pixel Buds Pro 2, which come with a new Tensor A1 chip and improved active noise cancellation. They promise up to 30 hours of battery life with the case and include a small wing tip design. Furthermore, the Pixel Watch 3 will be available in two sizes with larger screens and a 2,000-nit display, along with new features like offline Google Maps and enhanced battery life.
Rumors suggest the Pixel 9 lineup will also integrate Samsung’s Exynos 5400 modem for satellite SOS capabilities and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The Pixel 9 devices will be available in various colors, including obsidian, porcelain, rose, and green. Google may also release a new weather app and recently announced its TV Streamer and 4th-gen Nest Learning Thermostat.
