: Xiaomi introduces WinPlay, a virtualization layer for its Pad 6S Pro tablet, to run Windows games on HyperOS. Despite only a 2.9% GPU performance loss, it is not expected to match gaming PCs' performance. WinPlay uses Xiaomi HyperCore and supports four-player multiplayer. Xiaomi unveils WinPlay, a virtualization layer for its Pad 6S Pro tablet, aimed at running Windows games on HyperOS with minimal performance impact. Despite its promise of a mere 2.9% GPU performance loss, it falls short in delivering the level of gaming PCs.

WinPlay works offline using Xiaomi HyperCore in the kernel space, isolated to gaming use. It supports peripheral devices and multiplayer for up to four players, optimized for Xbox controllers.

Currently available to beta testers on HyperOS 2, WinPlay is exclusive to the Pad 6S Pro device. There are no immediate plans for broader device compatibility but ongoing improvements are promised.
