Yahoo has introduced a completely overhauled version of its Fantasy Sports app, ahead of the 2024 NFL season, aimed at providing a more comprehensive and cleaner experience for fantasy sports players. The new design streamlines navigation with three main sections: a list of all your fantasy teams, a News tab filled with content for fantasy players, and a Scores tab showing all relevant scores for your fantasy teams.

Ryan Spoon, Yahoo Sports president, emphasizes that the redesign is about enhancing the user experience without making radical changes. The app makes it easier to manage fantasy teams by allowing users to see their entire team on one screen and easily switch between teams, while providing customization options with new logos and icons.

Spoon also mentions that the focus is on mobile usage, noting that 85 percent of users engaged with the mobile app last year, with over two-thirds using it daily. Since joining Yahoo from ESPN, Spoon has added more content and features, ensuring that the app serves as a central hub for all fantasy-related activities, including news, shows, and games, thus solidifying Yahoo’s position as a key player in the fantasy sports arena.
